Irish Red Ale Irish ales are malty, smooth, medium-bodied, and are a deep copper-red color that is created by a blend of specialty malts. We have created a malt blend that gives this recipe its signature toasty and sweet aroma and flavor. This is one of our best selling kits, and we have received many comments on the great taste from this recipe. This kit can be modified to create a Ginger Red by adding .5 oz of ginger to the mix. Kit includes all ingredients except yeast. Recommended yeast for this kit is; Dry - Safale S-04; Liquid - White Labs WLP004 or Wyeast 1084
